A rockin' weddin'

So my weekend started off with a bang, took off from work an hour earlier than I was supposed to, though quite by accident, and got home in time to go to Hot Doug's with Akira and kevin. There I ate wild buffalo sausage and cheese fries, we also talked the woman behind us through the process of ordering. She was a bit nervous and needed reassurances several times, I think she expected the encased meat nazi to be taking orders. Anyway, Hot Doug's, good as always.

Afterwards we did the roommate trip to target, and then to pick up yet a larger and more highly defined TV from Pfil that Akira was buying. Thankfully, through the wonders of technological progress, it managed to have a larger screen and weigh a lot less than akira's current tv, which was good considering the fact that the three of us will not be starting up a moving company any time soon.

So now we have a larger tv, its so big that you have to play guitar hero at a distance or else you sort of lose perspective on your surroundings and your life. This is easier now with our new wireless guitar hero guitar. its amazing, I haven't played with it yet, but I'm fairly confidant that you can rock out with it: hard.

Saturday brought practice and a day spent listening to indifferent jazz music while hanging out with very different friends. At one point I think we had 1.25 bottles of wine per person, incidentally I think thats a fairly good measure of expected enjoyment. Sunday brought a wedding at rockafeller chapel down at the U of C. Wow! I want to get married there, the space is just incredible. An opera chorus singing friend of the groom supplied the complementing audio to the stupendous visuals. After a good nap, we went off to the reception where I heard some very off the cuff wedding toasts, except the German's; his was quite on the cuff. After the toasts and the rather good lithuanian food and cake, the dancing commenced. That was fun, as it always is. It was amazing to watch rachael shake her hips much like a certain shakira song was imploring her to do. Fun wedding and reception. Though it was a bit daunting to be dancing under the gaze of several very stern looking gentlemen.

Monday I travelled from HP to Schiller Park back to HP for practice, because I didn't realize practice was at washington park; that was fun. Later Rachael and I grilled pizza, corn, yams, and made soup. I'll let the readership guess which one of those suffered in comparison to the others.
